Meet our Advisory Board.
a collection of intelligent, well-rounded, and uniquely gifted young women who help shape content for Body Truth!
Charlotte was the first advisor appointed to Lead BTC. She stands out among her peers as a good listener and a responsible friend. She loves Chick-Fil-A, running, and time with her friends. Her first year of college is keeping her busy in all the best ways!
Jodie’s vibrant personality adds energy to our leader team of the BTC. She’s serves as one of our high school advisors, and she has a knack for connecting with girls her age in meaningful ways. When school isn’t keeping her occupied, you’ll find her trying new Mediterranean recipes in the kitchen. Or, you might find her loving on her three pets — one cat and two guinea pigs are a lot to take care of!
Jocelyn’s compassionate and patient voice is an asset to Lead BTC. Besides being a hardworking student and a good friend, she is selective with how she spends her time. She enjoys spending focused time with her family, quiet time with the Lord, and fun time with her friends (which usually involves delicious food!) She is also an avid Cowboys fan, and she knows her football.
Alexis is about as honest and vulnerable as a young woman comes, and her role in BTC will grow as she motivates our leader team in those areas. High school academics, golf team, & extracurriculars keep her engaged during the week, but her hanging out time is usually spent with friends and enjoying a good shopping trip. Besides having a heart for young women, Alexis also has a heart for toddlers because they are adorable and brutally honest.
Carlie brings her full heart — thoughtful questions, excitement, and an out-loud love for Jesus to our board. She attends SMU and is an up and coming DFW food critic; you can find her delicious images and descriptions at her Instagram space @findyouryumm . When she’s not engaging in college lecture halls and restaurants, you might find her training for an upcoming marathon, teaching a cycle class, or practicing hot yoga. She loves the show, “Survivor,” and her love for adventure recently led her to jump out of an airplane.
Tivonge says what she means and means what she thinks. You can’t contain the kind of voice this girl holds, and you’d never want to limit her. She is currently a high school senior and serves as her high school’s team volleyball captain. She has played the sport for eight years and let’s say this…you probably don’t want to be on the side of her serve. She is proud of her heritage; she is a Zimbabwean-American. And she also has something that might surprise you — a giraffe!
