Through a neighborhood prayer group, a local music teacher, and a kindergarten boys’ soccer team, God has brought me into a new friendship with this amazing woman, Amanda Guillot. May her story bring you peace as you consider what is true and beautiful.
My name is Amanda Guillot. I’m so humbled to share with you today. I am married to Dru, who is a full-time marriage pastor, and I run a small business from home. We have three children, two teen/tween girls and a little boy.
As a young girl I was gangly, weak, 64 lbs in 6th grade, last to be chosen for any team event and the only red haired girl in sight. I simply didn’t feel I was enough and wanted desperately to be less “different.”
Over time God has shown me what true beauty means. To know He created me with a purpose, to look at my heart above my outside, and to teach my girls their worth as His creation has been such a gift. This extends into my business life as I help mentor and encourage others and help clients care for themselves, rather than change or alter who they are.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
